    Pros

Many outstanding teachers who teach day try to provide a safe learning environment for students who face more than their fare share of challenges.

    Cons

Bureaucracy, an overabundance of paperwork and non-teaching tasks. Support systems are gravely inadequate to address the social and emotional health of our students. Wasteful spending , classrooms lacking curriculum and supporting materials.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the social emotional health of our students. Invest heavily on counseling and support systems so that more of our students are ready to care about their education and future.

    Pros

Staff were appreciative with work completed, especially answering phones.

    Cons

They need to spend a little time with training upon arrival of new temp to prioritize issues and indicate where to direct certain kinds of phone calls.

    Advice to Management

Create and provide a paper list of things a new temp should know, i.e., how to transfer calls, where to transfer calls, a staff and student list, students, how to use radio, etc., so that this information can be referred to without having to ask, since staff tends to be extremely busy. This "cheat sheet" would do wonders for new temps to hit the ground running, especially at the start of the school year.
