    Pros

coworkers are awesome and the customers are nice. If you work hard and do your job right you can make very good money.

    Cons

business is heavily driven by conventions taking place downtown so if there are no conventions then there isn't much business. FOH staff is not treated as well as BOH. We're also expected to get guests to sign up for the company rewards program and get punished if we don't.

    Advice to Management

treat your servers better and you will have a lower turnover rate. stop forcing us to get guests signing up for the rewards program. most people do not care about them its just annoying and unneccesary.

    Pros

    Friendly Coworkers
    Easy to make friends
Managers are easy to get along with
Management is more flexible with scheduling than anywhere else I've served

    Cons

Serious lack of direction from corporate, menu and style changes constantly
No one is held accountable to be on time or really show up at all.
A lot of really slow days with all the new restaurants around
Uncertainty surrounding how much longer we stay open

    Advice to Management

I understand you are friends with a lot of your staff, but you have to hold them accountable for their actions.

I worked at Rock Bottom Restaurants part-time

    Pros

Rock Bottom has a great work environment and great staff who knows how to have fun but get work done at the same time

    Cons

Tips as a busser pale in comparison to those received by the waiters, even though almost the same amount of work is being done

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. People love the beer. Encourage vertical movement for employees in the restaurant b/c they will respond positively to that

    Pros

The schedule worked well while in school. Great beer and discounts as an employee. Great pay at entry level. Customers were great.

    Cons

Environment lacked professionalism. Employees were favored and it was evident in promotions and hours. Time at the company was more valuable than experience.

    Advice to Management

Ask workers while they are there what they would like to improve and for their input. Also address how to be promoted in the beginning of hiring process.
