I have been working at Rockdale County full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun Co-workers, easy computer systems, personal time hours added monthly, Monday-Friday only (Saturday's are VERY VERY rare), minimal over-time hours.

    Cons

MICROMANAGING is major down fall!!! There's way too many managers for a small department. Raises come once every blue moon. During certain times of the month is SUPER busy and managers do NOT help. No room to Advance in the department, basically a dead in job.

    Advice to Management

Too top heavy in this small office!

I have been working at Rockdale County full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employees are basically good folks. Public servants workers are wonderful. Would recommend this employer for someone looking for work that has retired previously

    Cons

Policies and processes are lacking, salaries are low in most areas as compared to other counties. Long term not a good career move, gain experience and move on.

    Advice to Management

    pay for performance

I have been working at Rockdale County part-time

    Pros

This is a nice place to work. Very friendly staff and commissioners. Rockdale County has a professional atmosphere, but also laid back and welcoming.

    Cons

Every company will have their issues. I can say there are a few departments that are understaffed and have pressing demands on them. There also doesn't seem to be much room for growth within a department.

    Pros

Company is small so it is easy to know everyone. Makes great teamwork. Great people that genuinely care about the community.

    Cons

Always a power struggle. Too little pay. Too many political influences.
