I have been working at Rockford Health System full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The employees that are left still have "hope" for better behavior from Administration.

    Cons

No one around in Administration, poor communication, expectations are high, not transparent and the community sees the poor results.

    Advice to Management

How can you run a hospital when you're not here? Be visible to staff, hire the best candidate, not your Best Friend, go easy on the nepotism. Have a fair wage structure for staff, stop replacing Rockford employees with Janesville employees: they're not vested in the community. Value your employees and don't lie to the community.

    Pros

The have air in the summer heat in winter.
The have hand sanitized and umbrella bags. Gift shop is ok. Java city has good coffee.

    Cons

The are about bottom line not patients or there fellow partners. You are less then unless you are in management and if you are you don't have to follow the rule or be held accountable.

    Advice to Management

Follow policy of health system and know that the people who work for you matter and so does there families. Treat all partners like they matter get rid of 80% of management and hire more nurses and CNA and pay them well. Stop putting new grads in a 8 month residency and want it done in 4. Make the hospital the best not bigger. Focus on your people and the true health of community also tell the truth about leaving Rockton ave in 10 years or less.

I worked at Rockford Health System full-time

    Pros

Some of the best reasons include flexible schedule, managers that care and I also like the fact that could use my degree to the fullest.

    Cons

Some of the downsides at Rockford a Memorial Hospital is that it was recently bought out by Mercy Health causing a drastic change in corporate culture.

    Advice to Management

Please acknowledge that this by-out will bring major changes that everyone is not prepared to be on board with. Make sure the new vision is clear with no contradictions.
