I have been working at Rockwell Automation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Only pro is 401k... everything else is literally horrible.

    Cons

Treats production employees like lab rats
    Constantly upping production demands
    Unreasonable expectations
    Reckless management
Does not consider employees at all
Working in Holidays (no consideration for family time)

    Advice to Management

Work on the floor before you make decisions and/or approve decisions being made.
Want to boost morale like said? Give raises. Not hard.

I worked at Rockwell Automation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay, learn what you can and move on. No growth in this company. Give you $150 for shoes once a year. Once in a while give food (every 3 months)

    Cons

Lack of communication, Lies to your face, people back stab you, stool pigeons, Start working 8 hours a day until 60-90 days then you have to work OT. Raises are crap. No bonus. Do not care about safety, only getting the shipments out. If someone gets hurt, management acts different towards that person. (like and outsider)

    Advice to Management

Middle finger to the Champaign, IL location.

    Pros

    - Looks good on a resume
    - Experience

    Cons

    - Pay is much lower than industry standard
    - Average raise will be in the 1-2.5% range (if at all)
    - Serious complaints are ignored (harassment, sexual harassment, violence)
    - HR treats people like criminals
    - If you are an hourly employee you will have no chance of advancement
    - Low low low morale. Everyone dreads coming to work each day
    - Touts being one of the worlds most ethical companies by suppressing complaints about ethics and firing people who complain
    - Overtime almost every weekend

    Advice to Management

Take complaints/grievances seriously and review what your HR department is doing.

    Pros

Local people are great.. there is a power struggle between Milwaukee and Cleveland

    Cons

Having a manager in another city that you only see twice a year causes intense issues

    Advice to Management

Give miiwaukee firmware engineers a manager in the same office. Managing a team in Milwaukee from Cleveland is BS.

    Pros

Unknown. I never got in the door.

    Cons

I was looking to get a job at Rockwell. I applied for a position only to get a no thank you email 2 days later. OK Fine. They reposted the job a month later, so I applied again. This time they called. Had a great phone interview, then nothing. Silence. I call & email, but no response at the Mequon facility. Finally they pick up the phone, but have no answers. I wait a week & try again. More silence. Finally I get through 2weeks later. They say they have moved on to other candidates. Well how am I supposed to know that? Just terrible practices & treating people horribly. I hope HR reads this and says something to the Mequon Rockwell recruiter. They need to feel what it's like on the other side.

    Advice to Management

Find new recruiting people at the Mequon facility and treat possible new employees with some respect.

I worked at Rockwell Automation full-time

    Pros

    Big company perks
Company wide activities and programs offered throughout the year
    Paycheck & benefits

    Cons

The culture is extremely conservative, political, stale, good ole boys club, with a rigid mentality. A culture of exclusion and retaliation seems to be supported.

Lacks diversity in middle and upper management and leadership positions.

The ID teams' management works in direct opposition to Rockwell's ethics mission and will actively use bullying tactics and/or suppress certain individuals based on personal intolerances or judgments. Priding herself on using constructive dismissal tactics to create a hostile work environment that results in employees resigning. HR seems to support this despite the high turnover and numerous complaints.

    Very dysfunctional work experience.

    Advice to Management

The people are the greatest assets to the organization.
