I have been working at Rogers Communications full-time

    Pros

    Health benefits
    Discount on company services

    Cons

Front line managers are busy with budget, rather than managing front line issues, and neither want to take any responsibility. Processes and work are done by front line, and those effective people will move on without getting recognized.
Promotions are determined by the old culture, as existing managers believe how they become successful, the same type of people should be promoted instead.
Talents are not well used, and wrong people are doing the wrong job.

    Advice to Management

The idea from CEO is good, but probably won't work. All are said, but not seeing followup actions. Good idea to have open discussion, but the truth is people posting positive comments and avoiding the real issue.
Having front line to resolve their issues through collaboration is a good idea, but lack of support and recognition on those who provide solution would limit the potential. Since issues are resolved early, management will not recognize them. And more often, executing corporate strategy (projects) are prioritized higher for reward.
Determining IT would be the key. IT innovation would be the difference, yet, IT has been limited as a support role.

    Pros

stable job, decent pay, 50% off Rogers services after probation period

    Cons

this job is 90% PR / we don't have ample authority to solve customer problems / w're told stick to a call flow path / one metrics they measure is some crappy metric that measures customer satisfaction however half the time the customers can't remember who they spoke with so you can get shafted if they review you thinking it was someone else

    Advice to Management

please deliver new wifi hardware that is reliable / our current devices suck + get us smarter tools / some of our ticket submission and testing is redundant and wastes time

I have been working at Rogers Communications full-time

    Pros

Good base salary, commission, and bonuses. Hours were not too long, store closed at 8pm. Monthly quotas were not too hard to hit

    Cons

Slow systems that would crash occasionally. Constantly dealing with angry customers. Help desk was very uninformed and not a great help.

    Advice to Management

Develop a better system that is user friendly with a higher speed. Better train the help dek regarding corporate products and services
