I worked at Rogers Communications full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I would like to say my contentment at having worked at Rogers Communications Canada Inc. The learning and rising opportunities I received at this company are precious to me and I will remember my experience here for the rest my life. A huge and very clean workplace at Brampton Park, The walls, ceiling, floor, cubicles, and everything is bursted with art and colors. Gigantic car parking lots. Indoor gym, quiet prayer rooms, huge cafeterias, employees personal Tim Hortons, and great training rooms, Rogers employee share accumulation plan, retirement plan, medical and dental insurance, employee walk-a-mile program, Rogers products employee discount, Auto insurance discount, and many well-mannered, in-house well trained, and friendly employees.

    Cons

Cons may vary through individual experiences, but as a whole, Rogers is a great place to work!

    Advice to Management

Keep up with the good work, and make this place a happy workplace

I worked at Rogers Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Co-workers were a friendly group.

    Cons

Turn-around time on projects was too fast and the solution was never thought out properly resulting in multiple failed solutions and wasted time/money. Co-workers were constantly stressed and the environment was not a positive one. Eager workers were taken advantage of with unpaid overtime and low salaries.

    Advice to Management

Provide a work environment and opportunities that encourage people to advance their skills. Management should be hired according to relevance to the job, not due to their length of employment. Hiring/promoting outside of the Rogers pool will bring in fresh and potentially better talent.

    Pros

Love it here! The people are great! Can work from home, which is a bonus. The stock option plan is fantastic as the company matches.

    Cons

My only con would be the vacation policy. 2 weeks your fist year. Not ideal with a young family at home. My previous company offered 4 weeks plus personal care time.
