I worked at Rogers Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Interesting challenge working for an electronics materials company, where you basically have to learn on the job w/o much training.

    Cons

Not many advancement opportunities unless you are there long enough for a regular house cleaning and then willing to take on more responsibilities for same pay.

    Advice to Management

Over the years you have lost a. lot of good talent and knowledge. First 15 yrs of service was a very good company caring well for their employees who served them well, but the next 10 years pretty tough trying to maintain your job long enough to reach the promised long term employee benefits. You will notice a small number of mid level people employed. You really don't have a career path for long term employment for your most product and process knowlegeable and technical people.

I worked at Rogers Corporation full-time

    Pros

They have wonderful technology and products. The engineering teams are consistently the best I have worked with. Highly profitable.

    Cons

Management views employees as cogs in the wheel, if there is a cheaper cog or they simply decide they don't value you any longer...bye bye.

    Advice to Management

You say people are your strength yet this is not the feeling of your employees, both current and former.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

i have yet to let down any employer who has hired me in the past and I would be a great choice for the job even if my work history does not suit the position

    tolerance of Mediocrity
Keeps people around who suck up and yet don’t perform

    pervasive subtle bullying

    Advice to Management

Lots of unprofessional garbage going on behind your backs causing the good employees to leave in disgust. Its time to cut the sickness from the organisation and make Rogers great again by naming names.

. Leadership that makes smart decisions and tries to make it work for everyone
. Friendly, helpful, hard working and very competent people
    . Not a commodity players
. Growing through multiple channels; profitable.

    Cons

. a Mfg company, so subject to the up & downs of it's clients and the technologies they choose to pursue.
. Moving HQ, so it's impacting a lot of people
. staffed very thinly, so any changes in priorities has a huge impact

I worked at Rogers Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The remuneration package is good and you do get exposure to the international aspect of the business. Typically the local people who have been there for a while, are very capable in what they're doing

    Cons

All the decision power had been withdrawn from the regions and now goes to a (very) small group of executives in the USA. The annual employee engagement survey is a big cover up because everything that goes wrong is always blamed on the local management. They do have entegrity , trust and ethical behaviour as guidelines the the upper management doesn't walk the talk.

    Advice to Management

Start to listen to your employees and genuinely accept their comments instead of tossing them aside. Show the people that you live according your own guidelines.
