I worked at Rogers Corporation full-time

    Pros

They have wonderful technology and products. The engineering teams are consistently the best I have worked with. Highly profitable.

    Cons

Management views employees as cogs in the wheel, if there is a cheaper cog or they simply decide they don't value you any longer...bye bye.

    Advice to Management

You say people are your strength yet this is not the feeling of your employees, both current and former.

I worked at Rogers Corporation full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Interesting challenge working for an electronics materials company, where you basically have to learn on the job w/o much training.

    Cons

Not many advancement opportunities unless you are there long enough for a regular house cleaning and then willing to take on more responsibilities for same pay.

    Advice to Management

Over the years you have lost a. lot of good talent and knowledge. First 15 yrs of service was a very good company caring well for their employees who served them well, but the next 10 years pretty tough trying to maintain your job long enough to reach the promised long term employee benefits. You will notice a small number of mid level people employed. You really don't have a career path for long term employment... for your most product and process knowlegeable and technical people.

    Pros

paid vacation paid sick time paid holidays bonuses

    Cons

tolerance of Mediocrity Keeps people around who suck up and yet don’t perform culture of distrust and fear Spying on workers during off hours vindictive bosses pervasive subtle bullying micromanagement disingenuousness favouritism

    Advice to Management

Lots of unprofessional garbage going on behind your backs causing the good employees to leave in disgust. Its time to cut the sickness from the organisation and make Rogers great again by naming names.

I worked at Rogers Corporation full-time

    Pros

I really enjoyed working for Rogers and worked in many different divisions and departments. The best thing about the company is the great number of wonderful, very smart and friendly colleagues, and the opportunities to move throughout the organization and tackle new challenges.

    Cons

Some of the divisions are reluctant to change, have a very narrow product focus, and are unwilling to accept risk, which constrains growth. Support is often withdrawn from development projects prematurely, creating an atmosphere of managerial distrust.

    Advice to Management

Take a fresh approach to new expansion ideas and support small trial projects for evaluation. Communicate development project gates and achievement targets clearly and commit to supporting projects through to completion. Have Courage!

I have been working at Rogers Corporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Generally they have good management. The benefits are competitive, as well as competitive pay. The company focuses on specialty high tech products and is generally a market leader in their chosen markets.

    Cons

They seem to have high turnover with a lot of the managers being new. Even several of the recently hired managers have left or will leave.

    Advice to Management

Need to find ways to retain employees and provide consistency. Also need to increase job security and loyalty, especially with the change in company headquarters.
