I have been working at Rogers Corporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

In the few years working at Rogers, I have experienced a strong sense of culture, collaboration and leadership. Employees are supported and rewarded by management for their hard work. I feel professionally challenged in my role and am thankful to be part of a stable, growing organization. The work/life balance is a huge plus!

    Cons

Consistency can be challenging across all business units/locations.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and continue evaluating career advancement from within.

I have been working at Rogers Corporation full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Knowledge retained through longer term employees Work with some very smart people who are dedicated to what they are doing Benefit offerings are very generous Beginning to obtain more targeted hires of some strategic managers in the past year + Good work/life balance

    Cons

Consistency is a big problem with policy enforcement and program distribution. Subject-matter experts/managers/leaders often have others outside their area of expertise weigh in on their approaches to running their business. Not all recent new employees and managers are not used to their level of knowledge. Need to employer the people here. Not nibble with decision making. Employees feel they need to have their... opinion heard which weighs down getting decisions made. Company culture at the corporate level tends to be negative. Senior staff need to lead better to help the staff under them understand where the departments going and what is most important and what the priorities are. Internal systems very outdated and not competitive, but Rogers is moving in the right direction. Employee growth & development at Corporate are not priorities for the majority.

    Advice to Management

Need stronger leadership to help set priorities and communicate clearly what remains as a priority.

I have been working at Rogers Corporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, opportunities to take on new things, good work/life balance, CEO working to change the culture in a positive way to move us into the future and keep the company growing

    Cons

Many employees have been a Rogers a long time and their acceptance of new people, new processes, & new ideas is very limited. There is a consistent belief across the company that tenure protects employees from needing to prove their value or stretching beyond what has been their normal. There are employees who still believe people should live in the area to work there.

    Advice to Management

It appears many decisions get made before thinking through them and changing when negative reactions are realized. Confidentiality could be better Put more emphasis at the leadership level on the importance of developing employees by demonstrating it at the top and require it from their managers. Managers behave more like individual contributors than managers of people.

I have been working at Rogers Corporation

    Pros

Generally treat their employees well, good work/life balance, global business with attendant opportunities for travel and working with other cultures. Many employees have 20+ year tenures, which says something for the environment.

    Cons

Rogers was stuck in a time warp and now global competition is a reality. This is causing a lot of turmoil in the organization with a lot of new 'talent' at the top trying to figure out what to do, and the old timers not knowing what's hit them.

    Advice to Management

Some really smart people, and some not so much. Figure out who really makes a difference and lay out the plan for the future with them.
