Great people to work with, good experience for anyone getting into engineering. Not much help from management as they typically are not experience on the product.

    I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time

    Pros

It is a laid back work environment, and has mostly exciting work, and the people are great. I love coming into work. Good vacation and decent benefits.

    Cons

Right now things seem to be up in the air. A lot of change in leadership is happening and I think people are looking for direction. People are a little uneasy with how things are going, but we'll see how they pan out.

    Advice to Management

Provide clear direction as to where the company is headed. Be decisive and make good decisions. Define project requirements with a validation criteria up front instead of at the end of projects.

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent opportunities for career development and progression, and excellent people to work with. I've always enjoyed going to work.

    Cons

Large number of middle managers leads to a large disparity between vision of senior leaders and implementation (lack of) by junior managers.

    Advice to Management

Make things simple, employ and progress people who have made an actual delivered success. Far too many managers seem to move into areas with new ideas, disrupt that area, then move on/get promoted without implementing or sustaining an improved processes.
