I worked at Rome Research Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Supervisors at every level were very considerate, real people. No type of cutthroat or favoritism to be found.

    Cons

Upward movement as an employee isn't exactly lightning fast, but it is feasible. Promotions are expected and regular as you develop expertise.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Pros

While their benefits aren't great, they aren't terrible either. They've medical, dental, vision, and 401k. They'll even pay you a little fringe benefit should you opt to not use their medical insurance.

    Cons

You will be nothing more than a number to them. Any work issues and the like, they don't care. At best, they will mitigate the issue so that it's not a problem for them. At worse, they cut you loose faster than a vegan with diarrhea.

Being paid what you are worth is the end goal of every employee; Rome will ensure that you are paid well below industry standard in an effort to save face with the DoD on their contracts. What better way to provide an excellent service by cutting pay to those who provide that service!

Great Company, great benefits. Human Resource Dept is the best I have every had a chance to work with. Great training programs, great managers to the highest level. Had a bad car accident or I would still be with them.

    Cons

I have no cons about this company

    Pros

    Some fellow employees are friendly.

    Cons

The new leadership here is dishonorable, they are cunning and deceitful. They also have inexperienced managers who are not qualified to lead small or large teams to achieving success. People are thrown into positions based off being a next door neighbor, not that they are qualified capable. It has caused a cancerous unqualified environment. Most business models here are done off the back of a lunchtime napkin. This is not a professional organization and they lack class.

    Advice to Management

You need to treat people with respect, honesty and intergrity should be you sole focus. The business lines are too narrow. Business is drying up. The iceberg has melted.

    Pros

Rome Research Corporation places a lot of emphasis on safety protocols that each employee
must follow. Cyber security, and work ethics are also reviewed annually. Workplace non-discrimination, non-harassment guidelines are promulgated. Overall, the work environment
    is pleasant and safe.

    Cons

The salaries offered are the same wether you are a newby or veteran to the industry. Merit increases are nonexistant. Overtime work is mandatory.

    Advice to Management

Listen and be more open to needs of the employees. It would be helpful, and benefitial for the

    Pros

The work area is good because the Co workers you will have will be great. Except for one B&G employee who always tries to get away with work and thinks he's above everyone else

    Cons

The security shifts suck. Hard to cope with and hard to adjust. Takes a lot of getting used to

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the new program manager.
