I have been working at Rooms To Go full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great Health Benefits with on site clinic
    - Phenomenal work/life balance
    - Company truly cares about employees - during the hurricanes, they gave out cases of water, they opened their warehouses as shelters for employees and their families, they give out turkeys every year for Thanksgiving
    - Any technology you need to do your job is always available
    - Fun culture, a lot of events and the wellness department puts together a lot of activities
    - Often times people are promoted to other departments from within
    - Emphasis on training and certifications in some departments for continuing education

    Cons

    - There are some people in management who got there by being good at what they did but they make horrible managers - these people need to be transitioned back into roles that they are well suited for
    - The restaurant selection near by is awful
    - Lack of vacation days - only 10 per year for the first 10 years - though a lot of managers help make this work by being flexible
    - Like with many companies employees who are promoted from within to fill roles are not compensated as well as an external candidate might be

    Advice to Management

Work on playing to employees/managements strengths

I worked at Rooms To Go full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I going to give unbiased opinion with this. They are about numbers and How to hit those goals. You be working at least 38 to 50 hours a week. There is no weekends off unless you use personal, vacation or a holiday to have a day or multiple days off. This job is easy as in work but hard on the personal life. You can make good money here. Every rooms to go haves a different feel to it In the DFW area. There are a lot of good people in this company but there are bad ones that will snake you mentally or take your customers. Most of the managers are great people. It just they are put in high pressure situations that make them look bad at times. They make least then your top 6 sales associates and deal with a lot more then sales. The office and managers are Under appreciated in there pay and as well as a person for the company.

    Cons

I said what I want to say!!! Just keeping it real. It’s not for everyone!! I enjoy my time here and my go back in the future. That’s my pros on the Cons part

I have been working at Rooms To Go full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are friendly and work schedule is great.

    Cons

Vacation time is not competitive, 2 weeks for the first 10 years. If you are salary you don't get sick time.

    Advice to Management

You need to look at overall benefits offered (vac, sick, 401k, etc) and evaluate competitiveness to new employees and younger generations. Waiting 10 years to get 3 weeks of vacation is not a way to keep employees engaged.

I worked at Rooms To Go full-time

    Pros

    Great benefits, unlimited income potential

    Cons

Company has absolutely no heart if you become I'll, or need schedule changes. In addition, you are required to work at least one 12 hour shift per week, and additional ones during sale time. No regard for quality of life.

    Advice to Management

People have families and lives outside of work. People also become ill..not a reason to terminate employment.

    Pros

It is a great company to work for. They offer excellent benefits and in customer service they offer weekly bonuses.

    Cons

Having to work every Saturday in survey and having to wait almost 3+ hours for orders to pop up. There is about 60+ of us that work on Saturdays.

    Advice to Management

I feel that in survey Saturdays should be a rotating day where we work once a month, instead of Mondays.
