I worked at Rosen Hotels and Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing company benefits (health insurance), discounts at other Rosen hotels and getting paid weekly. Guest interface was never too bad.

    Cons

Favoritism plays a big role, they'll work you hard during the holidays. The hours you work do jump, from working until 11PM to coming in the next day at 7AM.

    Advice to Management

Make your employees happy before the customers.

I worked at Rosen Hotels and Resorts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are awesome. Vision, medical, dental, 401k. And they have their own medical center. Some of the staff are nice

    Cons

Racist Managers, overnight security manager does nothing and blames everyone else. The people are two faced. The pay is horrible

    Advice to Management

You don't get a raise for getting your coworkers fired.

    -Good first job

    Cons

-Upper management can sometimes make things hard for low level employees
-Guests can be very aggravating sometimes
-Promotion based on who leaves the company from what positions

    Advice to Management

Please consider what the front desk employees have to deal with and make decisions after considering their inputs.

I worked at Rosen Hotels and Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company has great discounts for employees. I never used the healthcare benefit, but I heard from co-workers that was very affordable.

    Cons

They extremely micromanage employees, such as in specific break and lunch times, look over your shoulder constantly to check how you do things, etc. In the IT department there is not too much room for grow, and it seem that the upper management is more lean to hire from outside then in within. The environment is very tense. Rather than inform or suggest, management will send emails with changes or procedures to be follow remarking that if you don't you will be subject to a write up. There is a high turnover, many people try to leave the company.

    Advice to Management

I think bringing new upper management will create more room for fresh ideas. Getting more IT qualified supervisors would increase quality of work.

    Pros

Willy Michel is a Manager, he's amazing at training you on the need to knows and he trains you until you get it. He preps you for just about any/ever situation. You have some freedom. It's not all bad at the desk.

    Cons

Sometimes it seems like the Managers aren't willing to help to help you on certain situations and you feel stuck and they hate when you go above them to someone else without asking. Other departments depend on you for something that isn't your job. You have to deal with guest that can be more than just "rude".

    Advice to Management

When associates come to you seeking help/advice at least TRY to help. Don't give a bad suggestion for us to run off of and tell to the guest.
