- 5.0Jul 27, 2023Language CoachFormer Employee, more than 1 yearMiami, FL
Pros
Able to teach remotely to children & adults. Will meet people from around the world & learn about their cultures. Classes were either one-on-one or group sessions. You’re able to pick your own schedule as long as you’re meeting the minimum hours per week. Can learn a language for free. Colleagues were always so helpful & should you need someone to cover your class in case of emergency, it was likely that someone would. Positive monthly feedback from supervisors.
Cons
Every now and then, you may meet a rude client or someone who does not demonstrate proper online behavior. No benefits if you’re part-time.

Pros
- Management are supportive and quick to respond in an emergency - Flexible remote work. - Lesson materials are pre-planned.
Cons
- Very low pay for what the job requires. - Salary doesn't rise with experience or customer satisfaction, you'll get emails with feedback and praise for getting high satisfaction scores but stingy salary increases (if at all) and no benefits or recognition for strong customer satisfaction. - Little room for growth and opportunity within the business even if you are a seasoned tutor.
