I have been working at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Prestigious status around Buffalo New York.

    Cons

High expectation to work over the standard 8hr day. Terrible compensation for research employees. A hit or miss with a positive work environment. It depends on the department you work in.

I have been working at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center full-time

    Pros

    Lots of paid time off

    Cons

Everything! From low pay, crazy expectations from management to toxic coworkers they have it. Don’t expect to be promoted and if you do, you will be making what a new college grad makes somewhere else. Guess that’s why management is salty.

I have been working at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great patients, nice nurse to patient ratio, gifts, benefits, PTO, float holiday, holiday pay, double time and a half for premium holidays, sick time off, a lot of different departments to work in, tough but fair management.

    Cons

not easy to move up, short staff, long probationary period (1 year for most, 2 years for nurses), don't always stay in your scope of practice due to short staffing, not much parking, pay for parking, some departments mandate over time, not many resources over night such as food, housekeeping (one during the week and none over night on weekends).
