    Negative Outlook

I worked at RoundPoint Financial Group full-time

    Pros

    Young Environment.
    Fun Events at Times.
    Very Clean Appearance.

    Cons

There is an apparent buddy system if you're not in "the circle" your opportunities will be really limited. The pay is horrible, they purposely pay young workers low wages because they know that for the most part they will just be happy for the opportunity. It's supposedly a year wait on transfers to new departments and positions, but once again that applies only if you're outside of "the circle". It just is not where you want to be.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at RoundPoint Financial Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Leads came in quickly when available. No micro management, cool coworkers.

    Cons

Upper management became greedy and overwhelmed. They killed the golden goose by not hiring enough processors.

Commissions where 17bps/loan. Which is less than what most other internet mortgage companies were paying. (NO BASE SALARY, just a draw)

    Advice to Management

Get your act together, focus on what is good for the company and its employees, not your wallets. In fact, fire yourselves and let more qualified individuals run the company. Thanks.

I have been working at RoundPoint Financial Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Had good work hours flexibility

    Cons

the parent company is always contemplating selling the organization. you will never get a good felling that the company will keep you or let you go if the company sells. The loan originations group was just sold and about 200 people were laid off. I moved 4 months prior to accept a position here and this is what I get for uprooting my family...

    Advice to Management

STRATEGIC PLANNING!!!! If the issues that the companyy had were addresses a year before like some of the SVP's suggested, this layoff would not be happening!

I have been working at RoundPoint Financial Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible Hours, immediate manager's were great and supportive, most of the employees were optimistic and happy. Their pricing model was successful.

    Cons

Upper management was not in touch with the employees request, information was very slow to get from the high ups. Pay (commission) scale became more difficult to maintain, work harder for less money. Operations couldn't keep up with the loans they were originating.

    Advice to Management

There is no advice due to the lack of the ability of Leadership and Operations the company is closing.
