    Pros

    Great pay and atmosphere around the whole store. Up and growing company which a bright future ahead of them. I recommend it to anyone.

    Cons

    No holiday pay nor sick time so no extra money for working turkey day or Christmas. They are still growing so it might happen soon!

    Advice to Management

    Allow hiring from within department not from outside

    I worked at Rouse's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    simple job, not difficult to fulfill.

    Cons

    Managers play favorites and they don't respect all their employees. very unorganized. Never gives raises and likely will underpay you.

    Advice to Management

    Your employees are assets. Look to keep them, not throw them away.

    Pay attention. Good help is leaving for better opportunities

    I have been working at Rouse's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I got paid weekly
    customers were pleasant
    the food in the bakery smelled decent, but I couldn't afford to shop at rouses because they paid so poorly.

    Cons

    Management thought that they were better then they were and would treat employees poorly, advertised values that the company didn't have, like family values and locals helping locals. Expensive work shirts, bad attitudes all around at the company. Poor understanding of running a business. Poor pay.

    Advice to Management

    Pay the people who work for you or stop saying that you are locals helping locals.

    I have been working at Rouse's full-time

    Pros

    They pay on a weekly basis with medical and dental insurance already taken out, as well as your 401K (which they don't match!)

    Cons

    401K is horrible
    pay/salary is below standards
    ----care more about making money for the Rouse family then allowing the people who work to advance themselves and allow them to make a decent amount of money beyond the Rouse family. None of their success and money would be possible without all the people that they low-ball!!!

    Advice to Management

    Pay office salary employees above poverty level!

    The benefits are very reasonable and are good.
    Advancement opportunities are there

    Cons

    Your constantly forced to break policies or risk being unable to perform your job.
    No support from management.
    Highly negative environment

    Advice to Management

    Open your eyes to the issues and get a plan together to fix them. Work doesnt have to be so miserable.

    I worked at Rouse's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Discount on hot food
    Work around my schedule
    Some of the people are awesome
    Give breaks when you ask
    Its easy to create an employee-family atmosphere
    You can easily change which area you want to work even if its just to try

    Cons

    Was told nobody is full time, even though you get 39 hours
    Some of the people are trashy and they don't discipline those people
    No pay-scale for those there a long time
    They take your uniform out of your pay without telling you
    Management is extremely inconsistent
    Everyone seems to have this "i secretly hate this place" attitude somtimes
    If management doesn't like you they will make it adament

    Advice to Management

    Don't just hire anyone, especially those who are blatantly not right for the job just because a position needs to be filled
