I worked at Rovia full-time for more than a year

    Pros

ability to learn lots of new things fast-paced and exciting compensation benefits travel

    Cons

lack of teamwork, lots of secrecy constant crisis incompetent management unprofessional culture (MLM background, no corporate structure)

    Advice to Management

Please figure out what the brand stands for. There is too much confusion and no coordination between efforts. Everyday is more about putting out fires instead of being innovative and breaking records

    I worked at Rovia

    Pros

    Reasonable pay, somewhat flexible hours

    Cons

Management and employees with tenure do not understand travel, especially product development. You say the sky is blue they will insist it’s yellow and gossip about you being wrong until you resign. It is such a toxic environment you can feel it in the air and there are no direct discussions about performance or needs, just talking behind backs. It’s very cliquish and impossible to fit in. If you know what you are doing...

I worked at Rovia full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Anyone with travel industry knowledge in the business for at least 20 years has clue not only on the business at hand but more importantly how to respect and treat one another.

    Cons

Sorry. Anyone that is over the age of 40 doesn't stand a chance. They are cut throat, throw you under the bus because most likely feel threatened by your knowledge, even though you have genuinely and respectfully tried to work with them - they are not interested in you, your experience or your good nature attitude. It's all about them. And this is hospitality?!

    Advice to Management

Start with leadership that knows how to Lead. Not people with mood disorders. When employees go to Human Resources about the same leader with similar inappropriate, unprofessional behavior episodes, you ignore and release them and not the poor Leader. Makes no sense. Toxic environment which starts on top and went down hill when the current CEO came on board. It goes downhill and what WorldVentures and Rovia perceived...

    I worked at Rovia full-time

    Pros

Travel industry perks, but they're few and far between.

    Cons

Where do I start? -Clueless branch manager who is YesMan to corporate brass and dumps CEO-requested trips on call center folks who already are overburdened with sales goals. Pay not commensurate with workload. Expect to work holidays, with management talking up the finer aspects of working from home on Christmas Day. Creepy rah-rah company meetings streamed live on company website where the CEO and Big Cheese say nothing...

    Advice to Management

Give your employees monetary incentives, not three-day stays at an out-of-town hotel. These people are barely putting dinner on the table for their families with what you pay them, so to expect them to cough up travel funds to get to said Reward Hotel Stay is both cruel and insensitive. Be upfront and honest about the growth and direction of the company, give promotions, and give raises!

I have been working at Rovia full-time

    Pros

    Health, Dental and Vision Insurance

    Cons

Stressful and hostile work environment. No growth from within. Minimum 50 hour work week. Incompetent and disconnected leaders. High turnover of C Suite. New directions and emergencies weekly. Trust has completely disappeared. Many reps have not been paid in 8 months and are jumping ship and patent company is in the middle of multiple lawsuits worldwide.

    Advice to Management

Hite the manpower to get the job done. Your countless meetings, emergencies, hiring C Levels who just talk and the lack of leader presence is costing the company on so many levels. What was once a great culture is gone. The burden has become too heavy for your employees and they are drowning.

I have been working at Rovia full-time

    Pros

Unlimited PTO for non-exempt workers. Money towards health insurance if you gain a certain number of points each year through a health and fitness app. Very good about motivating you to have a work life balance. Your colleagues are great to work with.

    Cons

Lack of leadership, no singular direction, no understanding of budget or finances. The leadership at this company change their mind and the direction of your work daily. Leadership asks 10 different people to complete the same task and then non of it matters anyways because leadership changes the direction they want to take things according to which member or rep yells loudest. No wonder the company is almost bankrupt....
