I worked at Rovia full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Absolutely None. There was just nothing good here for anyone

    Cons

Where do I begin. From poor management whom encourages their staff to be dishonest or the ghetto staff who loves to gossip and follow in the dishonesty. Not to mention if you are some integrity you will be cast aside and ignored because you do not fall inline with the madness that is Rovia. Everyday it was something new, the worst of the worst would band together and beat down new workers verbally, to the point that some...

I have been working at Rovia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

For the first 18 months I LOVED my job. One of the best places I ever worked. I work with some wonderful, talented, funny people. When the core values are upheld it's a great place to work.

    Cons

Last fall the company structure was changed and the SC office was turned into a call center. This format may work from a purely statistical standpoint but leaves employees feeling unengaged, over worked and disenfranchised. Further restructuring in early 2014 ushered in a climate of fear about job security and the company's commitment to SC employees. There are no opportunities for advancement unless you plan to move...

    Advice to Management

Make sure a plan is in place before launching a product. Communication between departments is a MUST. Open up more opportunities to the talented people you employ in your SC office.

I have been working at Rovia full-time for less than a year

    Pros

No micro-mangement with some overtime opportunities

    Cons

Supervisors play favorites. Coworkers back stab you and gossip. People get fired a lot. Ghetto type of culture. You cannot be hired if you are handicapped because there is no elevator.

    Advice to Management

Why bother? They will not listen.

I have been working at Rovia full-time

    Pros

The employees are great people. They work hard with no perks of being a travel company or appreciation

    Cons

upper management / owners not aware of what is occurring at the local level. They never even visit on site. Very disorganized company. No follow through. lacks problem solving until after the problems occur for far to long. Lacks company values that they are suppose to be based on.

    Advice to Management

Be present and aware of what is occurring. Create a better work environment, appreciation of employees, appropriate staffing for the demands, communication, benefits that reflect a company that is far exceeding projected earnings. Offer better benefits such as 401k matches, affordable health care, and the opportunity to experience travel experiences for learning.

I have been working at Rovia full-time

    Pros

There are no pros that even come to mind.

    Cons

Upper level executives and most of the senior level management have no idea what is happening on the local level of their company. Perhaps if they spent some real time with their employees they would have a better understanding of what is needed. Rovia is a membership driven company and the main employees fulfilling customer needs are overworked and over looked. Pay and benefits are embarrassing. Everyone in the...

    Advice to Management

Wake up. Communicate. Stop acting like everything is such a big secret. Treat your employees better. Look for the real, educated superstars and stop promoting the under-educated employees who will be at your beck and call 24/7 because they don't know any better. We are all humans with lives outside of the office. Stop telling us how successful the company is doing and not share the wealth. Perhaps if you took better "care"...

I have been working at Rovia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Yes the company has gone through some turbulence Yes we've gone through tough times Anybody read Steve Jobs ? Read how BILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES ARE BORN? You go through growing pains, you go through restructures, until you find the right TALENT & PEOPLE. Pros - huge career growth opportunities - generous packages - be a part of something that makes a difference to peoples lives

    Cons

    - expect to work hard - dont expect smooth seas for now (smooth seas never made skilled sailors)

    Advice to Management

Keep going, hold leadership accountable, not so much focus on plans but more on execution
