I worked at RoyOMartin full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I feel if you work hard and are reliable then you should be given those privelages. some people work and put pride into it and others work and don't. its up to Management to decide who deserves what. That's just what I feel.

    Cons

There were some time when when it came to a family or work decision then they left it up to you to choose between your family and you job which ended up costing me mine after such a long time

    Advice to Management

Please try and focus more on the quality of the product you are selling rather than the quantity. Its not all about the money. when a man goes to buy wood for his house he wants a quality product. But overall they are agood company to work for just too political.

I worked at RoyOMartin full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The benefits here are amazing!

    Cons

They have no type of system. It's based on buddy buddy relations. If you're disliked good luck. They will treat you like crap. And it takes so much to get a raise from there. It's crazy. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for this world class crap lie they try to pursue. They're unprofessional and downtime is ridiculously high.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your Employees. Everyone isn't going to want to work for a buddy buddy system.

I worked at RoyOMartin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The Company took very good care of their employees and were very family oriented. Almost all employees were loyal to a fault which in turn made them work as hard as they could and they did the best job they could.

    Cons

Employees were expected to live up to their highest potential which included promotions especially in the Executive offices where I worked. They also encouraged us in personal growth by allowing us to increase our level of education and the Company paid for all tuition and allowed us the time off within reason.

    Advice to Management

Continue to treat your employees as human beings and with respect and care and they will give you all the loyalty and hard work you would ever need for tremendous growth and even more success.

    Pros

steady income dont have to worry about a job.
free health check ups for employees at job site.

    Cons

Privitly owened company they do what they want.
To much under the table deals, they pic who they want to grow in the company and not who deserves it. They will promise you every thing and give you nothing. Management is pore and dont know what is going on half the time. If your in the click your ok but if your not good luck.

    Advice to Management

keep your word and treat every one fair.

    Pros

My co-workers at RoyOMartin were great people who were mostly fun to work with. The benefits were decent. Health insurance was very inexpensive compared to other employers and included dental. Offers 401k and company profit sharing.

    Cons

This is one of those companies that likes to claim to be one of the top employers in their area while most employees won't support that claim. They're notorious for laying off employees when business slows down. Many open positions go unfilled, leaving some employees doing the extra work without extra compensation. This is a family-owned and operated business. The owners are the upper management, and their decision-making often displays very little if any regard for lower-level employees.

    Advice to Management

All that wealth your family has accumulated has come at the hands of your employees, including the ones at the lowest level. You might consider taking those people into greater consideration in your decision-making process.

    Pros

    The retirement benefits are good.

    Cons

This company is entrenched in the good ole boy buddy buddy system and has run off many a good employee. I would advise staying away from this company and its harsh management environment.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue at what has happened at the Mill management level. Treat your employees with more respect. Get a grip on safety and environmental issues at the plants.
