Pros
The shorter (10 hour) shifts are really nice. The EMTs were my favorite part - getting to know each other, making connections as career networkers and also as friends was great.
Cons
You're not guaranteed getting off at the scheduled time - depending if you're in the middle of a patient transport or you get a late call to transport.

Pros
Trust me, the manual gurneys will kill you. Absolutely no reason anybody should be lifting a patient by themself. It’s dangerous to workers and the patients.
Cons
Even their chair stair technique tells you that only one person is doing the lifting. Ridiculous. No other company teaches this. What is the point? Trust me, their “cool” culture is not worth it. Just pick a company with automatic gurneys and two emt lifts and it will save you. I know NorCal has them even as BLS.

Pros
Great people and flexible hours
Cons
A little disorganized, lacking the number of staff members for its employees

Pros
-Great friendships -Positive vibes -LGBT support -Great growth opportunities -Great personal growth opportunities -They strive for professionalism -Definitely worth the time and experience
Cons
-It gets cold in winter and the base is freezing and you aren't allowed to wear anything else except the uniform you are given. The jackets provided are NOT warm, so prepare to freeze in winter. -The hours can be long and there are many times you will become frustrated with the way things are run in dispatch and in the company in general, no place is perfect. -Injury is a big issue due to the company's unexplainable reason for having severely out of equipment. For example, manual gurneys.. There are only a few electric gurney's which you will probably never see unless you are on a Bariatric unit. -Prepare to work with incompetent EMT's who somehow passed the training through their FTO. The training process definitely needs to be addressed. There are too many EMTs that are very dangerously being allowed to continue working in the field when they should not have passed training due to incompetence. -Just prepare yourself for frustrations that you have no power over changing. It's a great company with great potential. -It's a good stepping stone in your career but definitely not meant to be a place to settle for longer than a year or two.

Pros
1. The EMTs. Everyone is super chill and fun to talk to. This is my favorite part about the company. 2. Diversity- The company is incredibly diverse, which makes it a great place to work. 3. The call volume- If you are planning on working IFT in Alameda County, this is the place to be. The company has an insane amount of contracts with SNFs, so EMTs get the opportunity to run a wide variety of calls.
Cons
The equipment- a lot of the equipment is older and outdated.
