It can be a dirty job, with heavy lifting and standing. it can also become quite boring just standing sorting the mail.

    Advice to Management

The opinions of workers on the shop floor should be taken on board when changes are being made as they are the people who generally know the best way and quickest/safest way to make things work or.

I worked at Royal Mail full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Had some great years there. Pleasure to go work. Felt a part of something special and strong branding.

    Cons

It is a big company and you can get lost in the crowd. Many of the staff are frightened to take a risk for fear of losing their job. Sometimes difficult to do things due to funding limitations.

    Advice to Management

I met some great managers and some not so good. Fairly typical of a large employer.
