I worked at Rpci full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stepping stone company, decent time off.

    Cons

Pay is deceiving- union dues, expensive parking, costly health care benefits, no raises = little take home pay AND getting more costly the longer you stay! Very poor management and low morale. No career advancement.

    Advice to Management

Doesn't matter, they don't accept constructive feedback from employees anyways.

    Pros

There are some notably strong clusters of researchers.

    Cons

There are various colorful figures obsessed with "empire building" and rapid commercialization of products. Rapid commercialization can lead to pressure to move ahead with projects based upon flimsy (or altered) preliminary data. Research what happened to PersonaDX and its Chief Scientific Officer, and one will understand the culture there.

    Advice to Management

Focus on patient care as your primary mission. Stop buying into "get rich quick" biomarker schemes.

    Pros

This company has very good Operating Room Department ,Good training ,All of the latest equipment, continuing education a fantastic Anesthesia Team. The house keeping is one of the best i have seen in my 19 year work history fan

    Cons

The so called training was limited to there friends only first . I found it was very hard to bid out of the department. My hours no longer fitting my families needs. I bid out for one year and seven months, after ten plus years of service i had no choice but to resign.

    Advice to Management

Needs to have the person in charge of the department listen to employees needs to run a long lasting an effective relationship.

    Pros

There are some areas that have high functioning teams with great culture

    Cons

There are other areas, including HR and upper level management, that have toxic culture that affects the entire organization.

    Advice to Management

Study the areas that are performing well and replicate. Do not expect HR to be able to lead culture change until their internal cultural issues are fixed. Consider hiring an outside consultant to lead cultural change.

I worked at Rpci part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people there really care about research and patients

    Cons

A lot of work is being passed onto unpaid master's students and PhD students on stipends. Less work for paid employees, fewer hired. A lot of pressure to become a student in a master's or phd program if you work in research.

    Advice to Management

    More respect for paid employees
