I have been working at Ruan Transportation Management Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They really care about their employees. They listen and try to fix any situations that may come up as quickly as possible.

    Cons

The hours and shifts are rough. Night shift, 12 hours a day +. The pay is standard rate for Class A. Nothing exceptional, but enough.

    Advice to Management

I haven't been there long but I am grateful to be working with a company that works with it's employees so well, Trans manager is awesome.

I worked at Ruan Transportation Management Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good equipment, excellent benefits and safety record.

    Cons

Horrible training and management that will break the rules. You will be hired to do what is on the advertisement and when you take the job do very little for what you were hired for.

    Advice to Management

Stop the bait and switch on your job positions. I would of never taken the job had I known that what you wanted was not what you were hiring. Listen to your managers more and to the majority, not the minority.

I have been working at Ruan Transportation Management Systems full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, generous paid vacation, and good opportunities for upward mobility for those who are willing to work hard.

    Cons

Some of the senior management is not very supportive of field management. Working in the field can be a very thankless job. Also, technology is improving, but still very sub-par.

    Advice to Management

Technology, technology, technology! Upgrade your technology and provide your employees with stable, user-friendly technology. Also, engage and support your field management. Your managers in the field are shaping your company and too often they are left to do things on their own.

Family owned values. Diversity in customer base provides opportunity to learn several different customer products and needs

    Cons

The advantages of a family owned company sometimes reflect poorly in the benefits they can provide.

Please look to upgrade 401k offerings and match

    Pros

The people you work with are great.
    Cubicles are decent
    Nice views from the building

    Cons

they can not keep employees because they treat them poorly
The supervisors over certain departments do nothing but play games on their phone all day and play hooky.
They are sexist- women get paid $5-$10 less an hour and there are no women in big positions.
They do not care about you

    Advice to Management

Start paying attention to how hard your employees work.
    Stop treating temps like crap
