I have been working at Rubenstein Public Relations for less than a year

    Pros

Great client base, friendly collaborative environment, diverse experience in press and communications. The company invests in their employees and company culture. Great benefits, free NYSE membership, fun and engaging social functions and good PTO. What I like most about Rubenstein is that junior associates get to interact directly with clients and sit in on strategy meetings and be part of the campaign meet clients...

    Cons

Senior management should push back against clients when work is out of scope, or client’s goals are overly aggressive. Would love to see an option for company sponsored continued education co-sponsorship program.

I have been working at Rubenstein Public Relations full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Passionate company culture, Excellent Pay & Benefits, Strong Leadership, management values good and accomplishments. Another thing that is worth mentioning is the team works together really well, everyone is caring and personable unlike some bigger firms.

    Cons

I don't see any particular downside to working at Rubenstein's PR other than I would love to see more training offered within the corporate structure.

I worked at Rubenstein Public Relations full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Mr. Rubenstein took very good care of me (as he does with all of his staff) and gave me freedom to stretch my artistic legs, so to speak. He let me handle my accounts without standing over me. So I felt free, respected and really enjoyed working for him. He also paid for my health insurance and gave me generous raises and bonuses when I did a great job; soared with clients accounts. I have glanced at some of the reviews...

I worked at Rubenstein Public Relations full-time

    Pros

Mail room staff is awesome. Good location. Pays well. That's about it.

    Cons

Constant turn over, no account organization ... If you are looking to get ahead in one area of PR, this agency is NOT for you. No professionalism. All smoke and mirrors

    Advice to Management

Get organized. There's a reason that the junior staff doesn't stick... And it's not because of a generational curve.

I worked at Rubenstein Public Relations full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are some good people at the company that are smart and good at what they do, though they don't seem to stay around long.

    Cons

The way the company is structured is designed to burn associates out. There is way too much work and pressure thrown onto entry level employees and they get no support. The CEO likes to micromanage and there is always so much paperwork. There is a memo for everything and these take away valuable time that could be better spent. Because turnover is so high, management does not seem too interested in helping develop associates'...

    Advice to Management

Change the management structure and style of the company. Make sure associates have more support for all the work they are expected to do.
