I have been working at Ruckus Networks full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

It's a great place to work. Product Management that listens to both internal and external customers. A phenomenal wireless product set, and a vastly improved wired product set. The only issue is that every time we start to build the momentum we get divested or acquired. It's a painful process in sales to assure customers and partners that it's going to be business as usual over and over again.

    Cons

No RSU's or Stock Options for new hires. Basically eliminates a few years of vesting if you're leaving a company that does give them, and the new parent company, CommScope, doesn't give them out at all.

    Advice to Management

Stability. While leadership has been fairly stable, the company (brand) has not, and one more acquisition or divestiture and a lot of longtime employees are going to leave.

Pay your inside sales team more competitively and offer routes to grow not only for certain locations, but for all sales employees

I worked at Ruckus Networks full-time

        Pros

+ Friendly teams + Company has strong values + Opportunities to move up (see cons)

        Cons

        - Too many acquisitions creates instability, especially for visa holders - outsourcing (people leave creating op) - not enough restrooms - work can become stale, easy to become complacent.

        Advice to Management

Be open to adapt to upcoming technology instead of chasing the curve.

I have been working at Ruckus Networks full-time

        Pros

Good wireless and decent wired portfolio

        Cons

Management just did a 10% layoff with no notice because they failed to lead the company last year and want to make the numbers look better as they get swallowed by CommScope. Its no a "people "company and CommScope will be its death.

        Advice to Management

Stop taking your failures out on the workers.

I worked at Ruckus Networks for more than a year

        Pros

Seriously most amazing products in the industry, especially in wireless. Differentiated brand in an otherwise commoditized industry.

        Cons

Internal leadership issues in marketing, lasting for years, get ignored resulting in extremely high and routine attrition. Until they fix this it won't go away and the brand will never reach it's potential marketing/saleswise. C-levels need to take this more seriously.

        Advice to Management

I recommend anonymous polling within the department where the results go up to the very top.
