I worked at Rudy's BBQ (Less than a year)

    Pros

They treat you well here if you put in the work. Hard work is recognized here and if you go the extra mile to pick up shifts and show some competency management will love you. This is NOT an easy job. Definitely some long shifts and a fast-nonstop work environment. If you think you're going to slide by at this job and do the bear minimum you will barely last.

    Cons

Sometimes we're short on employees because of how hard it can be. It's difficult to retain new hires just because so much is demanded of every employee. Also some days have a lot going on and one big to-go order can throw off the whole day. But the biggest con is just low retention and you see a lot of faces come and go very quickly.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Management might seem a little harsh at times but they're the reason the place can operate at the capacity it does. They're very good at making sure employees are taken care of.

    I worked at Rudy's BBQ full-time

    Pros

This position is a door to many others in the company. How hard you work is shown in the speed you move up the ladder in the company.

    Cons

It does get tedious working the same job.
    Sometimes management plays favorites.

    I worked at Rudy's BBQ full-time

    Pros

Great pay, atmosphere, and employee discounts/perks.

    Cons

Long shifts, some positions had too many duties (C-Store closers), no breaks given even for shifts longer than 8 hours (unless you worked the shift from noon-9:00ish)

    Advice to Management

None. I learned a lot about good management here, and I will keep that close to me going forward in my career.

    I worked at Rudy's BBQ part-time

    Pros

Good pay with periodic increases. Managers listened to concerns of employees. Flexible hours. Diverse community.

    Cons

No set time to leave. It depends on when you finish and when the manager says you can go. No set lunch period.

    Advice to Management

You're doing a great job focusing on students but don't forget about breaks for those who are planned to work for almost/over 8 hours.

I worked at Rudy's BBQ full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discount/ free employee meal, cool and nice employees , easy job, good meats, there's nothing else good I can say about this place.

    Cons

Poor management when it comes to employees, management talks about employees in front of employees, sometimes you'll be the only cashier for hours and get no help, if you request time off more than likely you might not get it off, management picks favorites and does certain things for certain employees, terrible sides sometimes they can be three days old reheated, low pay, they while fire people for no reason; I could go on for days about them

    Advice to Management

Stop being so childish and selfish
