I have been working at Rue La La full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The management and senior leadership team really cares about the talent and growth. The environment promotes great teamwork and problem solving. Creative team is fun and energetic. Lots of mobility if you’re willing to raise your hand and partner with your manager.

    Cons

Communication can sometimes be a challenge given the nature of the business and the various departments involved. Miscommunications could at times lead to redundancy and confusion on projects.

I have been working at Rue La La full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is a lot that is great here:
--a fun environment (people eat together in the cafeteria, happy hours on Thursday)
--good work-life balance (people work reasonable hours)
    --great leadership at the C-level
--interesting problems to solve technically and within the business
    --strong revenue growth

    Cons

A lot has changed at Rue in the last couple of years. There was a lot of turnover but it has mostly brought new energy to the company. But it is still a complicated org structure.

You have to be ready for a fast-paced environment. Given the nature of the business there are a lot of changes in order to continue to succeed in the industry.

I have been working at Rue La La full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Having worked at companies in a variety of industries, I can confidently say that Rue La La values and cares about its employees at a far higher level than anywhere else I have worked. It is challenging to maintain such a engaging, high-touch culture during periods of growth, but Rue is rising to that challenge. Working here, I feel you get get benefits of working at an established company, while still being lean & small enough to make changes that matter, even if you are in a junior-level role.

    Cons

Rue is positioned in a uniquely fast-paced, ever-changing industry, which requires a high level of openness to change. If you are able to adapt to shifts in the way things operate along with some growing pans, you'll be able to succeed while learning more in the process. If you raise your hand when you see something you'd like to change, you can make an impact.

    Advice to Management

Continue to put your people first, and to remember that communication can make a world of difference in times of change.

    Pros

Fast paced environment. Always a lot going on. Shifting to Agile development with a more even work cadence that there was before. Positive environment where results count.

Good access to company leaders, many opportunities to ask questions and get real answers.

Nice workspace - Bagels on Friday, Craft Beer events, Lots of Free lunches. New CTO will bring fresh energy and a different perspective.

    Cons

I'm enjoying it here and recommend it to others. Like many companies there are different perspectives depending on which department you work in. My department rocks.
