    Pros

    Good pay, opportunities.

    Cons

Management was poor quality, a ton of micromanagement. Unrealistic goals, little support, shrinking bonuses after some time at the company.

I worked at Rush Enterprises full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Good pay, lots of opportunities

    Cons

A lot of redundant work, unless you are a big customer you get treated very unfairly. If it doesn’t fit in the “Rush Truck Center” mold, it is looked down upon, even if it’s to help out a long time customer.

    Advice to Management

Things are haywire in the regional area I worked in. I’ve always been an honest employee, on the management side I seen a lot of things get brushed under the rug that shouldn’t have been. It hurt the integrity of the company, the hard work i’ve Seen other employees put in and the way customers where treated. If upper management really knew what went on they would be furious!

I worked at Rush Enterprises full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There's good people and pay is good. The shop in my case was very clean and was decently sizable.

    Cons

Very stressful, flat-rate mechanic and management is up and down. They make you feel infesizablen metimes. The training is good but takes awhile to put it to use. They hardly give you any jobs at first and especially wheit gets slow. Shop tools go missing constantly.

I worked at Rush Enterprises full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good pay, lasting company, decent benefits

    Cons

Upper management just wants the numbers. You mean nothing to them. Experience means nothing. They force seniors out by forcing them into crappy positions and calling it a promotion. Disloyal, uncaring. Not trust worthy.

I worked at Rush Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Growing company with opportunities for career advancement. Enjoyed my co-workers immensely. Good pay relative to market value.

    Cons

Not much vacation time, minimal professional development (training, tuition assistance),

    Advice to Management

Invest in more of your employees' professional development in addition to the program you have for service technicians. Sales organization mindset tends to focus only on sales results. There are opportunities for market differentiation that can come from other departments too.

I worked at Rush Enterprises full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Pay is good. Other employees were helpful. Past managers were great. Rush rodeo is a definite must at least once.

    Cons

Management has issues. Never wanting to be apart of the department. Would rather sit in the office and stare at a computer screen instead of being active in the department they are managing. Letting bad employees get away with anything they wanted. Showed favoritism to some employees. Corporate made changes for the worse. Ended up putting a bigger workload on the store employees and management at the store level... didn't help with that. Employee appreciation wasn't there. Seems like all they want to care about is money. Unless you know someone don't plan on advancing much in this company.

    Advice to Management

Show more attention to the employees and the department you are managing. Reward employees that do a great job and show they have the knowledge for the role they are in. Money isn't everything.

I have been working at Rush Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with, hours are good and pay is good.

    Cons

Takes a long time to advance and some of the managers micromanage.

    Advice to Management

Don't micromanage the employees, let them do the job you pay them for!

I have been working at Rush Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Pay is good. Benefits are ok. People are generally friendly.

    Cons

Management is kind of a running gag with the employees. Jargon, buzz lines, and whatever someone googled for info is the name of the game. Many don't seem to know what their employees do or can do, especially if they are Rush veterans. Easy to get fired for speaking up against bad policy or bad employees/managers. Advancement is only through grooming anothers ego or making friends or just not getting fired long... enough.

    Advice to Management

Admit things have been done wrong. Sap, adp, etc. Control you management and create a non toxic internal atmosphere of talented personnel.
