I worked at Rush FITNESS COMPLEX The (More than a year)

    Pros

The certification process was relatively simple allowing one to become a personal trainer with very little in depth knowledge of exercise physiology. This being said, working with the average client provided great rewards because their goals could be attained with solid guidance and motivation. The guidance was easy enough to provide with color coded exercise equipment. Each color represented a primary muscle group.

    Cons

Sales calls were to be made off the clock. Writing up programs were to be done off the clock. Nutritional assessment were to be done off the clock.

    Advice to Management

Try not post pictures of yourself on vacation so often while your staff is working off the clock to provide you with such a lifestyle.

I worked at Rush FITNESS COMPLEX The (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great earnings potential for a position that requires no formal education. Youthful environment, great potential to network and meet other professionals in the business. This is a great position for sales or customer service if you enjoy the hospitality industry.

    Cons

Frequent club management changes create issues for staff and club members; with so many changes, people feel disconnected after building rapport with a former management team.
