I worked at Rush Foundation Hospital part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My co-workers were very nice. The pay was decent. One day there was ice ou on the roads and my supervisor understood I would be late.

    Cons

Computer system was very outdated. They used an extremely old version of Windows. It was unnecessarily complicated, doing my job difficult. Equipment needed to be upgraded.

    Advice to Management

    Upgrade the software.

    Pros

Staff was good and shift was laid back

    Cons

The 12 hour shifts were long and horrible.. Depending on staffing on other floors, you might rarely get to work your own floor.

I have been working at Rush Foundation Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Total Autonomy within your profession, great bosses, and flexibility of settings in which to practice. Rush provides a great structured environment with an awesome Rehabilitation Department.

    Cons

You may have to work at multiple sites. There are hardly any raises or bonuses. No real ladder for promotion. Meridian, MS has a high crime rate at this point.

    Advice to Management

There should be equal compensation for awards that are won and revenue generation. The rehab department makes a ton of money for this hospital, but the therapist don't ever see a raise.

I worked at Rush Foundation Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hiring process was easy, they provided a great orientation to the facility, the therapy staff was amazing to work with; everyone helped each other and made the work day go by smooth. This was by far the best experience I have had at a job thus far! I would highly recommend Rush Foundation Hospital to anyone in the Meridian area!

    Cons

I thought Rush Foundation Hospital was a great facility and had no complaints. The senior management staff treated you as an equal, and the co-workers in both rehab and nursing were wonderful to work with.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!
