    Pros

Some of the people you work with are extremely talented, and many are kind and fun people to get to know. Clients on the books are satisfying to work with, too.

    Cons

Zero stability, low pay, chaotic working environments, unrealistic expectations for those who do stick around or aren't laid off. Expected to pick up slack and do multiple people's jobs for no additional pay. You will be made to do the work of the position above you without the title or pay, and your boss will take credit for your work and ideas. Good times.

    Advice to Management

Adjust pay so it's fair. Don't overwork the talented people while others just fly below the radar and collect a paycheck.

I worked at Russ Reid Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Smart and experienced employees, the best in the business (especially creative, digital and analytics teams.) Made great contacts during my time there.

    Cons

Favoritism towards Christians and APU alumni. It's high school mean girls mentality- very clicky. And low pay for the hours they expect of you. They will work you to the bone.

    Advice to Management

Stop laying off good, hardworking employees.

I worked at Russ Reid Company full-time

    Pros

Fantastic place to learn and grow for entry level employees. Coming out of school you are are expected to work extremely hard, long hours in a fast paced, overwhelming environment. If you survive it, you will actually learn a lot about direct mail and fundraising. Great Benefits - Summer Fridays, monthly chair massage Working with non-profits

    Cons

Extremely low pay for an agency environment Long hours High expectations for growth/performance Frequent layoffs - when the agency isn't meeting Omnicom goals, the employees are the first to suffer. There is no loyalty to how long you have worked there. If your salary is to high you are fair game to let go. Years behind the trends in the digital space. Middle...

Listen to your exit interviews and actually do something about it. Pay your employees what they are worth.

I worked at Russ Reid Company

    Pros

Great benefits, lower employee turnover than a typical ad agency, employees are full of heart and passionate about what they do. Semi-flexible hours during the day, or ability to work from home from time to time if necessary.

    Cons

Hectic, uneducated clients, lots of women, lots of grads from local Christian universities, poor general work/life balance amongst employees, very Christian environment--almost too much, wish the company was more creative/laid back, not cutting edge advertising, company is very process driven to a fault, insanely low pay for job responsibilities and location, but the company...

    Advice to Management

Prove/make clear--often-- to your employees that you truly value their sacrifice and hard work for the agency. Even if it comes to spending your own money to make your colleague feel appreciated.
