    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Russell Reynolds full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Phenomenal clients and colleagues, constant innovation, collegial and fun culture, entrepreneurial, global, great leadership, tons of personal growth opportunities, high level strategic work, very few sharp elbows, great flexibility

    Cons

Intense workloads, demanding due to quality and client service, opaque compensation, performance culture - you have to deliver to get paid and advance; tough to unplug, take vacation

    Advice to Management

Make wellness and stress management a more visible priority; make compensation more transparent, pay more for behavior and long term contribution, pay as people grow and accelerate

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Russell Reynolds full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - fantastic colleagues, stimulating work, fast-paced, never boring, truly global and joined up - collegiality, client first, constant improvement and reinvention are true watch words - great if you are self-driven and independent thinking but love people - great efforts around innovation and leading edge consulting work

    Cons

    - never off - typical of professional services; client demands are non-stop; hard to take time away unless the world is on holiday - self-starting is critical to success - people will help you but only if you ask or raise your hand - substantial stress associated with the above

    Advice to Management

    - constantly create opportunities to bring colleagues together - we are as good as our relationships - better align incentives to teaming

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Russell Reynolds full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    * Top end reputation for executive search * Greay way to build board-level network * Good way to build knowledge and experience with regard to Talent, Executive Assessment in a highly professional environment

    Cons

    * Lack of diversity (strive to hire beautiful people with Ivy League pedigrees); don’t like non-British. * Typically target the same big name candidates (those who are “known to Russell Reynolds”), rather than getting to know new talent. * Partners foster a culture of blame and are highly judgemental * Lacks innovative thinking; the culture is traditional and conservative; partners are not open to new ideas

    Advice to Management

Take a lesson from the Royal Family... learn to embrace change and diversity.
