    Positive Outlook

I worked at Russell Reynolds full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Hires great people. Beautiful offices. Brand resonates with clients. Good technology and processes. Offices in all the right places. Compensation equivalent to the other peer firms.

    Cons

Not nearly as collaborative internally as they bill themselves to be. There is an inner circle which is hard to penetrate. Emphasis on service and quality has been diluted over the years. Now it is all about revenue, like the other firms. Unless you work only on c-suite searches for big companies, hard to be a top biller.. Expected workloads are too heavy to give quality attention to each search, and junior staff...

    Advice to Management

Place higher priority on execution and quality of client service. The revenue will follow.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Russell Reynolds full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some really great people in this firm, but they ultimately leave or turn into big headed, money hungry people.

    Cons

No career growth path, poor management, very old school way of thinking. Managers are not motivating but rather instill fear on lower level employees. Its a very up and out culture and unfortunately not many people move up. High turnover with a stiff/buttoned up culture.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees and they will feel invested in and want to improve the business and company. If there is an issue among the employees, address it publicly, don't pretend it does not exist. Don't have an "its their problem" attitude, one firm = everybody's problem. Don't reward bad behavior and consultants treating their EAs or Researchers poorly should NOT be tolerated, no matter how much business is generated....

    Pros

Great people to work with. Very professional.

    Cons

Not much room for growth as an EA. High volume of work with minimal rewards. Work can be monotonous.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Russell Reynolds full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with - genuinely friendly company.

    Cons

EAs treated like children with little flexibility/trust while consultants can do what they please. The amount of money spent on consultant offsites compared to EAs fighting to get an afternoon off together as a team is a joke. If we are so vital to the running of the business then treat us/pay us better.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your EAs. Our knowledge makes your business run. Period.
