      Pros

I worked at the Newark campus call center for almost two years as a student employee. I answered calls, greeted and redirected people in the lobby, and represented the organization at school events. The pros of the job are as follows: -Flexible hours -Room for promotion/increase in hourly pay rate -The staff members are generally willing to help you with anything you may be confused about (except for financial aid office, they're not too helpful) -There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, meaning the work is usually split up evenly -As long as you communicate with the management, they are willing to adjust according to your needs (i.e. schedule change, day off, etc.)

      Cons

-Sometimes shifts were understaffed. People would call out the day of, leaving more work for others. This happened fairly often. -Be prepared for a decent amount of angry calls regarding financial aid. The angry calls are almost always about that. -The call campaigns are very tedious and 90% of the time, people either hang up on you or say they are already aware of what you called them about.
