The whole restaurant worked well as a team, everyone who wasn't management was good at their job and was kind.

Corporate treated everyone like we were dispensable during covid despite the fact that most people who worked here have been here for 10+ years

The last company I worked perm with laid me off, and I'm trying to decide the best way to word it. What I currently say doesn't elicit negative feedback. What I currently say: The company determined that they had an immediate need for someone with a higher-level skill set in my position, so they laid me off. What my spouse (who has been a hiring manager) recommends I say: The company decided to restructure my position, and I was assured it wasn't performance related. Thoughts? Thank you.
