I worked at Ryan International Airlines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-International Flights Right Away to contries you never thought you would visit
-Lots of Military Charter flights so passengers were a lot more friendlier and easy to handle
-Most co-workers were nice and friendly and ready for an adventure to explore whatever country you were in
-Lots of flgihts to pickup on days off

    Cons

    -Poor Management of the company
-Inflight supervisor was terrible, unprofessional and unreliable
-Crew Scheduling was understaffed so they were a mess and many times had no idea where in the world you were or would forget to schedule our transportation and lodging
    -Loooooooooong Work hours
-You get worked to the bone
    -Low starting base pay
-Lots of time away from home
    -Super unorganzied airline

The communication within the company was terrible and I have no idea how those planes were still working because the company tried saving money on parts and repairs but yet spent a ton of money on food that was wasted. Many times we were short on basic things on the flights and we had to improvise. You were basically a slave in this company and if you didnt like it, they could care less if you left.

Unfortunately due to bad management and poor decision making the airline went bankrupt and rumors are that it may restart again under a different name but the airline accumulated so much debt with airports all over the world and a bad reputation that reviving an airlines with such a negetive history would not be the best idea.

    Advice to Management

Better organization and communication and invest in better systems for crew management and have a little more compassion for your employees.

I worked at Ryan International Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A tight-knit group of employees that showed up every day to do the best job possible. Aside from the great travel perks, it was an all-around great company

    Cons

There were a lot of inconsistencies within the company. More times than not it seemed the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. There was a lot of wasteful spending and no way to fix it.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees that were in the field. They saw first-hand were the major problems were.

I worked at Ryan International Airlines full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

employees in the lower ranks are wonderful and help each other out as much as they can.

    Cons

Over worked and way under paid. No raises for hourly and lower level non-exempt employees for over 6 years. Discrimination against women regarding pay and promotion. Upper management continues to add work responsibilities as they cut staffing. Poor management from the President and owners and even worse when it comes to money management. HR director will lie directly to your face and think nothing is wrong with it.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your act, toss the unproductive management and recognize that you are working with people not animals.
