I have been working at Ryder System full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Challenging customer, no 2 days are ever the same.

    Cons

Overtime is paid by a "formula" which means the more hours you work over 40 the less you get paid per hour. I checked with the Wage & Hour Division as well as other co-workers, it is legal until you work enough hours that you are paid less then minimum wage per hour. That has not happened yet, thank goodness.

    Advice to Management

Read the article, how to lose your best employees. Listen to the people on the front line that get treated worse than a shoe that stepped in dog poop. We are tired of being treated like this - being talked to instead of at would be a step in the 20th century.

I worked at Ryder System full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Supply Chain division - The Company is open for new ideas from all employees, everyone works as a team. If your lucky and work at a Ryder facility you'll have a greater chance of moving up. I spent 12 years with Ryder and overall it was a great company its to bad they lost the accounts I was part of.

    Cons

Its hard to move up when you work off-site, upper management don't keep you in mind.

    Advice to Management

When employees work offsite and the company loses the contract instead of letting dedicated team members go work harder at keeping them employed.
