I have been working at S.P. Richards full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Weekends off and Benefits, just two.

    Cons

Management Sucks seriously, from the Supervisor's on up to the Plant manager. Rules or Policies verses Preference, are not enforced at all times. we should have an undercover boss to come in and tidy up this company! Getting paid weekly and NOT biweekly would be nice, for all the hard work that one will have faced at the end of the week.

    Advice to Management

Be a doer and not a hearer , Go back to school, take notes , conduct this business in a moral and ethical manner. Someone is always watching our work, whether they are in a high position or an average position.

    Pros

Pay is decent and you get a raise every three months.

    Cons

Where can I begin? The management and supervisors have no leadership skills whatsoever. They are consistently finding ways to undermine employees (coming up with bogus occurrences and ridiculous quota system) to try to get people fired.

The work area is very small and there are always obstacles in the way (ladders in the aisle, people talking while working), which can cause serious safety issues.

Lastly, the place has no real incentive to work there. They do not recognize associates for the work they do, nor is there a festive environment (lunches and events). You're just there to work and that's it. Not to mention the actual employees there are a bunch of kids who do not value work at all and treat the place like a social gathering.

If you are just desperate for a job with decent pay, then this is good for you. otherwise, look the other way at this place.

    Advice to Management

Other places give out awards for performance or doing intangible things around the workplace. You may want to start rewarding them for this to keep good people and boost morale.

Stop trying to undermine employees who are working their tails off by coming up with ridiculous ways off getting them fired. Not only will you lose the employees you have, but potential employees will not want to work for you when they see how you guys operate. Get managers and supervisors in there that really care about the employees and not just about the bottom line.

    Pros

    Nothing, nothing, nothing and nothing.

    Cons

Upper Management is not held accountable, there is no one to over see them. They abuse the employees and use lawyer style tactics to get out of situations. Management is dirty, unethical, abusive and down right evil.

    Advice to Management

Don't cut throat people who are trying to make a living for your own gains and benefits.

I worked at S.P. Richards full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is decent for an entry level position. That's it.

    Cons

Filthy, in the literal sense. Spider webs with spiders on them visibly down most of the aisles. Had an employee harassing me, told management that I wanted to talk to HR, was denied. Called me a liar and she kept on harassing me. Employees openly talk about things they shouldn't in the break room.

    Advice to Management

There's nothing I can advise to leadership that refuse to change or try new things. Especially to corrupt ones that refuse to let employees talk to HR when they need help.
