    Pros

I worked with many great superiors and colleagues. I loved working there.

    Cons

You had to rotate between five different buildings now and then based on project availability, but it was ok for me.

    Advice to Management

    I worked at S & B Engineers and Constructors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Private, very professional, many technical leads at or near top of their field, flat organization with minimal bureaucracy

    Cons

Contractor, be billable or your staying home (better than most in this regard, but still nature of an EPC), not a great place to grow for early to mid career, very flat so very slow to no opportunity to advance

    Advice to Management

Grow mid career technical folks better, paying for top experienced talent and sniping isn't going to cut it in ten years. Keep a high-performer early to mid career group like owners do

    Pros

    Cons

A lot of managers been there for a while & wont change their attitude to new thinking, you must be in the 'click' to stay long term

    Advice to Management

    Change the culture

I have been working at S & B Engineers and Constructors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, willing to take a chance on employees. Reasonable pay reasonable benefits. Good choice for older experienced individuals. Varied subject matter, so the work stays interesting.

    Cons

Little to no training or support. They do not make the most logical choices for managers. Not a good long term career choice.

    I worked at S & B Engineers and Constructors full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A true team environment where people genuinely care about each other.
Safety - THE best in the industry.
Opportunity to build a strong relationship with the client; to the point where even the most minor of concerns could be openly discussed and resolved to meet both parties' needs.

    Cons

None that I can think of.

    Advice to Management

Diversify project portfolio and get creative to capture market-share; even if doing so involves small to moderate risk. Sometimes the biggest risk can be not taking one at all. Other than that, keep up the great work. You guys have built up one of the best companies in the industry and you should be extremely proud of what you have accomplished.

    I have been working at S & B Engineers and Constructors full-time

    Pros

S & B is an excellent company to work for; personnel are exceptional, and S & B operates a very professional, forthright business. S & B offers a data management system that appears to be the best in the industry.

    Cons

The EPC industry is cyclical, too busy when industry is booming, too slow is when industry is sluggish. Layoffs are a possibility when industry is slow.
