"Fantastic place to work; enabled me to break through many ceilings"

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at S&P Global full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
- Career progression (if you work hard and identify the right opportunities); supported me in going from recent graduate/junior engineer in London, to a running a highly visible and key team in the Asia-Pacific region, within 6 years. - Diversity; a truly global company with staff (junior/mid/senior) from varying cultural and ethnic backgrounds. - Leadership communication; no matter where you are and what team you are in, the senior leadership team keep you well informed about major company updates. - Mobility opportunities; I traveled a lot between the US, EMEA and APAC regions. It was an amazing experience. I was also transferred from EMEA to APAC, and offered other opportunities to relocate home or elsewhere too. Many of my former colleagues experienced the same. - High degree of autonomy and flexible working hours; no micromanagement and the focus is on working "smart" vs. wasteful long hours in meaningless meetings.
Cons
- Mergers, with the politics and uncertainty that came with them... I went through many mergers with S&P Global, and 2 were very significant. However, given the huge amount of change they potentially carry, it's understandably always a very tricky situation to navigate (for any company).

Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at S&P Global full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Good trainings, great benefits, flexible hours
Cons
Pay can vary between similar roles, often widely. Pay is also below industry standards in some instances. If you start as an associate, it will take several promotions and years for pay to catch up to industry standards. If you aren't getting promoted or changing roles by year two, I'd advise using the role as a stepping stone and moving on.
