I worked at SA Scientific full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a former employee, I really enjoyed the people i worked WITH

    Cons

The upper management is horrible! They are dishonest, deceitful and completely unethical. They will lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want. They ask employees to lie for them as well.

    Advice to Management

Take an ethics class, hire people who are competent to run your company instead of the ones you currently have. Treat your employees better and they will work harder for you.

    Pros

Very good employees, trying to do their best under extremely difficult circumstances. Lots of friendliness among the general employees.

    Cons

The management has no vision, and is unethical in their business practices. They lie and cheat, and treat their employees as if expecting them to be the same way. Employees are not trusted at all. No positive words are given for a job well done, but lots of blame if something is done wrong. Upper management is very shady and secretive, lots of control issues.

    Advice to Management

We tried to give advice and it fell on deaf ears. Maybe take a management course or an ethics course to start.

    "Great coworkers, worst upper management"

    Pros

There are good people working for the company. They are responsible, going through extra hurdles to get their job done. And in general people have good relationship.

    Cons

Upper management is not professional at all. They are not competent, and they are never wrong, never take responsibility. Good people are only used, not encouraged, developed, and advanced. And they get blamed for the stupidity of the management.

    Advice to Management

Management is so hopeless, that I don't have any advice to them. They have my blessing to shoot their own feet and the company's feet again and again and again.

I worked at SA Scientific full-time

    Pros

SA Scientific is a strong local company with a lot of employees that have worked there 10 plus years, which speaks for itself that it's a good place to have a career. Some researchers also utilize the company by working there for a few years before furthering their academic career. The company depends on researchers to develop tests - unfortunately i know certain researchers who left the company disgruntled because they could not produce a product and were dishonest about their work and ultimately blamed the management, pretending that they encouraged the deception (but to sell a product the product must work, so of course management knows that results must be real to sell more product - in what way would they possibly benefit from dishonesty about the product working?? It is easy for a customer to know if something works or not).

    Cons

Management is nice but they are too tolerant of people who complain constantly and turn other employees against them. Certain people have held a grudge against the company, claiming that they aren't paid as much as people in other cities, but what they don't consider is how cheaper cost of living is in San Antonio. They have allowed some very negative people to stay at the company too long who are a bad influence on other employees - luckily those people don't work there anymore.

    Advice to Management

Be more careful about getting rid of disloyal people earlier, and don't let them slander the company with lies about why they were terminated or blaming the company for their lack of production.
