I worked at SABEY Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Senior Leadership celebrates company successes widely
Long term employees are promoted from within
    Most groups work well together
Easy location for commuting in the Seattle area

    Cons

Long term employee was removed from position of leadership and management of personnel due to poor people skills and outright bullying but we call it a promotion and retain them because the individual is good at saving money for the company
No employee mentoring program for individual professional growth

    Advice to Management

Built to Last is held at the company as near Bible status: more than profits is a key concept but actions speak louder than words. You had an entire department considering alternate employment options due to the single individual that was removed from the leadership position but it was called a "promotion"

    Pros

    Company culture is great.

    Cons

Professional advancement runs from top to bottom -- no real room for growth and no such thing as promoting from within.

    Lack of communication across company.

Salary is not competitive with the market.

As a "technology real estate company" they are really lacking to innovate. While most SMB's are utilizing new technological platforms, they are stuck using excel spreadsheets and paper and pen.

I have been working at SABEY Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good strong core value belief system
    Tight knit working groups
Very responsive to deliver customer needs

    Cons

Culture is deeply held at upper management but is not communicated to all levels
Insightful Stewardship is taken strongly as a core value almost at the expense of employee well being and development

    Advice to Management

Long term retention is great but the individuals that are under 10 years may not stick around unless you invest in them, mentor them. The group of 20+ yr veterans will retire in less than 5-10 yrs. Who are you training to continue the "Built to Last" company after the senior people have moved on. Invest in your youngest people now to make them stay for the long haul

I worked at SABEY Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Low-key, lean environment. Good people and they grow people from within even if it means keeping people on when there might not be a position for them.

    Cons

Compensation was oddly structured with large bonuses, and low salaries. I've heard that it's been revised since I left so that it's no longer an issue. It is a family owned business, so there are limitations to growth.

I have been working at SABEY Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Supportive leadership team and colleagues
    Team oriented, non-cut throat culture
Lots of opportunities to be involved throughout the company

    Cons

Location and office amenities aren't ideal
    Benefits could be better

    Advice to Management

Continue to allow all employees to have a voice and provide input. Must find a way to monitor company morale/employee satisfaction to ensure retainment of good employees.

    -Free beverages

    Cons

-The people are not very friendly or welcoming
    -No company culture introduction
-There is no employee orientation or welcome
-Very political environment, ie easy to make a mistake or offend someone without knowledge
-Very formal working environment & requires dressing up
-People are very unprofessional, which contridicts the formal attire policy
-There is no formal dress policy, you are expected to understand it
-No training, management expects you to take charge yourself
-A company that specializes in datacenters and storage, yet runs on paper. A very inefficient company

    Pros

freedom to do your job, good benefits, open communication, local company, good co-workers. Enjoyed the overall experience but they can do some tweaking

    Cons

A little top heavy with the upper management being a little too PC, need to listen to the employees to grow
