Once the power house of polymers & polymer science, this place is a "ghost town". Managers seriously lack technical depth and are NOT qualified by a long shot. Global Application Technology Center @ Pittsfield MA is an example of "shuttering a business". Top leadership have no clue or interest in growing this business nor want to retain talent. Perfect misfit for a technically driven person that wants to advance in "Technical Career Ladder - TCL". Completely broken system for career advancement.

Sabic made numerus policy changes Jan 1, 2022, and none of them benefit the employee. Dropped time and half on weekends for swing shift, dropped some departments hourly top off pay by $6 on the hour, dropped their gear policy so now Sabic employees have nothing to help them in discipline actions or when company breaks their own policy there's zero the employee can do, now if your position is eliminated you get one week's pay for every year of service and terminated from employment, dropped FMLA from one year max off work to 12 weeks. GE and Sabic use to be a great company to work for but as you can tell by the reviews on Sabic from the past year things have changed. Actually, it's a little scary working here now because Sabic is determined to get rid of all the older employees. There aren't enough employees at Sabic now that are experienced in running a chemical plant. I've only got 1 month until retirement hopyfully I make it.

Manager uses abusive language threading employee to achieve his goals with unreasonable requests to constantly change work scope. He always blames employees for not being around him and pleasing his boss with bogus claims of innovative ideas. The top performers are those mean enough to criticize others even they don’t know what they are talking.
