    Pros

SAFARI Montage was way ahead of the curve in managing to transition all of its employees to working from home amid the COVID crisis. By early March every employee was safely and successfully working remotely. Leadership and IT support was outstanding! Ongoing communication and support from management, HR and IT reflects a company that really cares about its employees.

    Cons

This is a challenging time, but the company has done an amazing job providing the tools and support to help employees make the best of it.

    Pros

Company is combination of two companies with 20+ years in the educational market prior to merging and creating SAFARI Montage in 2005. This longevity is great for schools and great for SAFARI Montage employees. Throughout these years, there have been several competitors that have come and gone while SAFARI Montage has been a mainstay in Education. SAFARI Montage has always listened to its customers and developed products with functionality to meet customers’ needs. Granted some programs may take a little longer than hoped, however SAFARI Montage continues to work to meet customers’ needs and will put towards this endeavor with as many resources as needed for their customers. Technology leader and always looking to stay ahead of the curve. They partner with schools as beta test sites to help develop and test new products and software releases. Company doesn't micro manage your time, they allow you to do your job. CEO & President always have an open-door policy to listen to their employees. They will continue to make decisions to keep company growing and to do what is best for customers and employees. CEO & President of the company are the hardest working men in the industry and will work to make sure company is leading in Educational technology.

    Cons

Like every company there are always cons, however the pros outweigh the cons. It’s what you put into it.

    Pros

After a few bumpy years the company is in a strong position during an exciting time in ed tech. Smart staff, great people. Flexible product keeps company salient in a crowded market. Modern approach to work.

    Cons

Company has faced several culture changes in a short period of time and change management was not done so some employees are still adjusting/haven't adjusted. Departments are very small which can mean all-hands-on-deck during busy times.

    Pros

Beautiful office environment in the Philadelphia area. Very upscale. Views of the river and beyond. Many dedicated employees. Decent benefits for a small company.

    Cons

Horror show. It would be comedic if so many good people weren’t negatively affected. Start with the customers. Schools who have limited funds and teach our kids. They are lied to from the beginning. They think they are buying a digital learning tool from a technology company. Instead they are buying an inferior system based on an antiquated technology from a company who doesn’t know the first thing about how to develop code and manufacture digital servers. Every product release is pushed out the door with known glitches and bugs. Schools suffer and the employees then take the hit for the backlash caused by their own management’s lack of leadership. It would be nice to say that Tech Support is at least there for the customers but no, they do try, but the structure, support and management is romper room. Speaking of management. Way too many VP’s who do nothing but travel expensively and get in the way of the sales people. Management is divided between PA office and Michigan office. They do a great job at taking long vacations, deflecting responsibility, leaving the office early, making terrible decisions, throwing their employees under the bus, and lying to the CEO. As mentioned in other posts the layoffs decimated what once was a good company. Turnover extremely high, sales people leaving in droves. Poor performers promoted. Other posts regarding the CEO are accurate. However, with his executive management team constantly lying to him and covering up large issues and mistakes, he doesn’t have a chance at making proper business decisions.
