    Great benefits, positive company culture, executive leadership that’s present and looking out for employees and member best interests, great work life balance, excellent training programs, teamwork is promoted across departments

    The company values the member surveys, so you would have to make the customer/member satisfied or more than satisfied with your service.

    Great benefits, incentives, sick time and vacation time. Great work environment and nice facility

    Can be busy, less raises as you go higher

    Pros

    People here are amazing - views and goals of the company are amazing.

    Cons

    Execution could use more help with projects and there are lots of employees that need some extra convincing to update processes that are of a legacy stature.

    Advice to Management

    Drive technology forward - insist on risk that positions us to stand out in a positive and SMART way.

    Overall great company and good people

    Cons

    Marketing Department was a difficult place to work because of a lack of communication from management and last-minute major changes to campaigns.

    Advice to Management

    Approve marketing concepts in advance and don't wait until project completion to make major changes. This causes mistakes, missed deadlines and stress for employees.

    Decent benefits, flexible scheduling, nice break room, and okay people to work with

    Cons

    Micro management, sales goals, members can be tough, they play favorites meaning some get pulled up to the top without having seniority or adequate experience.

    Advice to Management

    Stop playing favorites, why are there like 6 different supervisors?

    Pros

    They have an excellent brand in the community, SAFE is all over the place and employees get paid to volunteer. The executives are very personable and SAFE does fairly frequent employee activities (BBQ, cornhole tournament, an annual all employee meeting, weekly walks as a group, and themed days at corporate)

    They have something called YEI used to share positive vibes with co-workers that were helpful. SAFE also does an annual employee survey that’s anonymous for staff input.

    The HQ is a class A building so it’s really nice and lots of

    There’s not a good/clear way to share good ideas

    The pay is below market but they do have excellent benefits.

    Advice to Management

    The forward progress over the past few years has been excellent! Keep pushing and keep engaging staff at al levels. Maybe consider removing the lengthy annual review process

    Pros

    Fair pay, good benefits, lots growth potential if you are just staring, friendly teammates

    Cons

    no good back up plan for staffing shortages, no growth opportunities after Manager, way too much responsibility without any slack and harsh consequences, too much politics and favoritism in promoting

    Advice to Management

    There needs to be some way to hold AVP’s and higher accountable, they are harsh and inconsistent if you are not a favorite. Often manage by intimidation and fear and they only care about those that buy into their ideas and opinions. There is a fear of job lose that hovers over our heads.

    Overall culture is great but back office departments don’t consistently practice it. YEI has been a great program to acknowledge the behaviors we want to see from our team members.

    Pros

    Great benefits, good company culture, lots of incentives (company competitions, sales, vendor competitions), recognition for meeting goals, community involvement with a small home town feel. great training on product/sales, easy to use systems

    Cons

    If you were good in the position you were doing, management was reluctant to advance you due to high turnover. Internal promotion was sometimes hard to come by and the external hires were much less qualified.

    Advice to Management

    Promote your quality employees - otherwise keep up the encouragement and incentives provided to branch level staff

    Pros

    Great flexible hours, management is willing to work with you given whatever situation you may be facing. Not a stressful call center environment. Sales goals are reasonable and management is approachable.

    Cons

    POOR PAY, POOR PAY POOR PAY!! Regardless of your experience expect to get paid the same as someone with NO experience. Do not expect to advance outside of the call center unless you personally know someone or is willing to kiss as*. Corporation is so small it can feel like a dead in job. This may be good for a younger person just starting out but not a great fit for me. Benefits are horrible! You are forced to use your vacation you have to take off for a full week cannot do what you want with your vacation time!
