I have been working at SAIC (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've been with the company for over three years. I think SAIC is a good place to work. I didn't have any complaints.

    Cons

The company should try and work on providing certification training for their folks. This is the only "Con" noted.

I have been working at SAIC (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    A few great co workers

    Cons

Upper Management is poor and not trust worthy.
Salaries are not aligned with the proper job titles, experience and abilities.
Hiring of individuals with 0 experience for a position but being paid the same as others with 10+ years’ experience.
Issues taken to HR are not properly addressed or resolved.
HR and Upper management are on the same contract and team. i.e. (co-workers)

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the good ole boys club and get down to real business

I worked at SAIC (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Had a good company ethos, was very focused on the employees to start with, share schemes etc, but this eroded over time

    Cons

It was far to US centric, the UK work was not at all the same as that in the US. The new work was not forth coming.

    Advice to Management

Stay focused on the people at the coal face

    Pros

It's still large company, has good benefits, good pay

    Cons

Since the split into two different companies SAIC seems to care less about their employees

I worked at SAIC (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits Package is suitable, might offer more in pay if lessening other benefits packages.

    Cons

Since they split the company, the management has not paid attention to contracts or to employees. They spot retainment but they don't practice what they preach. Rather hire young college, unaware individuals.

I have been working at SAIC (More than a year)

    Pros

Good, smart people to work with and they know what they're doing. Very interesting work, with time given to learn new tasks. A good work ethic at all levels.

    Cons

Under paid, over worked. Poor facilities to work in and benefits are lacking. The health benefits have deteriorated over the years as the company has become more profitable. Increases of any kind are a joke. Job titles don't make much sense.

    Advice to Management

Compensate your employees based on experience. Restructure your job titles to better reflect the job market. Provide better tools and supplies for your employees to use..

    Worked 4x10 schedule

    Cons

The supervisor was a mirco-manager that wanted to be in control of everything
    Co-workers didn't know/want to do the job
Manager and supervisor require you to look busy even if there nothing to do.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to who is doing all the work and let your employees
