I worked at SAIC as an intern

    Pros

The team that I worked with was incredible. Learned a lot about business analytics and how to take key insights and make them actionable.

    Cons

Many shifts occurring within the organization. Our department has difficulty managing all the changes.

I have been working at SAIC full-time

    Pros

This company provides assistance in every area you could need it. Any question you have is promptly answered. Great experience with supervisors and colleagues.

    Cons

With any large company there is less flexibility in benefits, but they always try hard to do what they can. I also have noticed a few folks are complacent.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest to continue with what I have noticed as a "listening" posture. Personnel desire to be heard and I feel that here. Also, consider a more disruptive approach to decisions, rocking the boat and discourage complacency,

I have been working at SAIC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I work with mid-level leadership regularly in multiple areas of the company. All of them seem to care not only about me as a person/individual, but about my team as well. The pay is decent. Telework option for my position is excellent.

    Cons

Travel can be a pain, particularly for longer-term assignments and/or on short notice. Benefits continue to spiral downward in terms of quality, while costs spiral upward.

    Advice to Management

Why so many reorgs? Stability can be a good thing. Let us catch our breath and have a good understanding of our structure before we change it again.

I worked at SAIC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent opportunities depending on what your skills are. Pretty good compensation and the manager I had was an excellent person as well as manager.

    Cons

I think changes they made ended up knocking down their value in my eyes. Benefits began getting more expensive and then they stopped matching on 401k.

I worked at SAIC (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relatively flexible on what time you came to work and left. Observed the majority of the important holidays. Geographically diverse.

    Cons

The pay was ok. If you were in a deploying status the pay was better. If you are laid off a task, they will not keep you on overhead for very long.
