    Pros

Excellent company for entrepreneurial growth during employee owned days.

Went public and lost its way!

    Advice to Management

Go back to the original EO vision and strategy business model.

I worked at SAIC (More than a year)

    Pros

SAIC is a military friendly company with great benefits. I would recommend to any former military and transitioning military personnel to inquire about a job with SAIC.

    Cons

I wish the company had more available opportunities here in El Paso. So far they have lost contract bids and the future of employment with this great company looks bleak.

    Advice to Management

Continue to look for way to keep employees on for future projects. If contracts are won call employees that were let go first.

I have been working at SAIC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company has a lot of contracts and opportunities for growth and they work in a lot of interesting areas. They do a lot to make the atmosphere fun to work in, such as small parties. Nearly all of the managers I have had here have been excellent.

    Cons

The company is mostly government contracting so work can sometimes be up in the air when contracts come to an end. Make sure you understand how much time is left on your contract and what your opportunities are from there.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at offering more opportunities for training, especially since we are in the IT industry things change all the time. What we have isn't bad, but it isn't great either.

I worked at SAIC as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people and great culture. People know when to be serious, but also have fun at the same time. Really appreciated being offered more and more responsibility as time went on, especially to someone who is at the starting point of their career. Some of the best people I have ever met, and look forward to future opportunities with SAIC.

    Cons

The commute to Tyson's Corner area (McLean) is not so great, but worth it for the opportunity to work at such a company.

    Advice to Management

Keep targeting younger professionals especially people who are just beginning their career through college internships and increase diversity recruiting.
